The Brigadoon neighborhood in Virginia Beach is a fantastic place to call home! Lets take a look at the shopping, the restaurants, the geography and the stats!

First, lets look at the shopping and restaurants! At the time of this article, there are two big grocery stores super close-by, Food Lion and Harris Teeter. Within walking distance is a Wawa, a Little Caesars, a hair salon, a Rite Aid, self storage, another pizza place, a Red Box and a Chinese restaurant. There are ATMs in Harris Teeter and Wawa. Don't forget the Applebees and the Golden Corral! At least 4 church's are in the immediate vicinity.

To the north is Lake Christopher. This area offers nice waterfront homes on the huge lake. To the south is Stumpy Lake, which has Stumpy Lake Country Club and Golf Course. Nearby arteries are Lynnhaven Parkway, kempsville Rd, Indian River Rd and Ferrell Parkway. The neighborhood is about 9 minutes from Interstate 64.

Most of the homes were built in the 70s and 80s. At the time of the article, there is about 15 homes for sale including a foreclosure and 5 short sales. They are listed between $218,000 and $335,000. (Stats from the video are from last week.) 40 homes sold in the neighborhood in the last year. The average home is 3 bedroom, two bath, slightly over 2000 square feet. With an average days on market of 64 days, it is a desirable place to live. The average listing price has been around $271,000 and they have sold for an average of $263,000. At a sale price to listing price ratio of 97%, it is totally average for Virginia Beach.
